Yeah. Same old, guys. Been busy with work and Extra Credits and Adopting cats. I’m attempting to update!

Here’s one that I figured was kind of important. I honestly wasn’t interested in politics until I was old enough to vote. I was just shy 1 year of being old enough to vote in the 2008 elections so I was really excited about this one.

Another big event that caused me to be far more interested in politics was the whole SOPA/PIPA fiasco a few months ago. Made me realize how important it is to pay attention to what those dudes in the suits are deciding.

I already voted via absentee ballot.

I’M VOTING FROM CANADA. YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE.

Good news everyone! I landed a job last week! That was part of the reason why I didn’t update… my interview was on that day.

But I shall no longer be insanely poor!

I will be insanely busy though. This job is a tad demanding. I’m not mentioning the name of the studio for general courtesy reasons but I will tell you it’s a Junior 2D art position with a lot of management responsibilities. It’s also in Vancouver which means I don’t have to move! Yay!

I’ll still be doing Name Game and Extra Credits. Name Game will probably stick to black and white to save time.

This also means that I should be able to afford to come to PAX East! No promises yet. Gotta plan it out right but I’ll do what I can!

There appears to be a demand for flash artists around Vancouver. Since I’m dying for work, I’ve been spending a lot more time in the program.

I don’t know how great I’ll be at updating the strips. But I’m going to try and make up for it by having some animated Name Game snippets instead! That way you guys can get some entertainment while I build my portfolio at the same time! Deal? DEAL.

Some better news this week, I have a small job that is keeping me afloat for the next few weeks. Making art for an iphone game. I’m still waiting to hear back about any studio work. Fingers crossed.

I’m going to be a bit busy in the next few weeks. Since I’m kind of in need of dollars I took on an extra episode of Extra Credits this month. Shouldn’t be more than I can handle but Name Game is going to be in black and white for the next few strips. I might go back and color them later but I can’t make any promises.

For the… 4 of you who ordered shirts, I’ll be sending out the first shipment at the end of the month.

I’ve been getting turned down from jobs left and right. A studio that seemed to have a spot for me just informed me they can’t hire until December, I got turned down from the PA Strip Search last week and I can’t seem to place down a studio job.

Oh and to make matters worse, my hand is starting to cramp up again.

I have another shot at a project a friend of mine is working on. I have to spend all day tomorrow doing an animation test for that. Hopefully things will go well and I can get some more work for a while. I spent a lot of my day doing designs for Name Game instead of actually just working on the strip. The thing is I need better pieces for my portfolio other than just Name Game strips and Extra Credits.

I’m still going to be doing Name Game. But there is a very good chance I’m going to have to keep it black and white for a while.

I’ll let you know.

PAX was amazing! Thank you to everyone who came out to the booth and said hi! The Podi Plushies sold out in a few short hours. I’m currently in the process of putting up my store which is live here! The items aren’t active yet but they will be soon…

… I’ve admittedly have been having a rough time since I got back from PAX.

It’s quite a tough transition.

Hopefully I can keep this on track.

Most recently added to Merch was this image! It’s going on a postcard to hand out at PAX! It will also (most likely) be made into a print at some point… that is when I find a place that prints posters in bulk that doesn’t totally rip my off.

Here’s a break down of my plans for PAX so you can stalk me*

There is an Extra Credits fan meet-up on Friday at 7pm. More details can be found here.

I’ll be on the Extra Credits Panel on Sunday at 2:30. I believe it’s in the Pegasus theater.

I do have plans on going to a few panels but there are some solid gaps in between. During that time I’ll most likely be at the Extra Credits booth in Bandland where I’ll be selling merch and doing sketches. Come say hello! I promise I don’t bite**
